Milestone Infrastructure is currently looking to recruit a Works Scheduler to work on our Oxfordshire Highways contract in our Deddington depot. The Oxfordshire Highways Contract is responsible for maintaining 4600 miles of road, 3200 miles of footway and 50,000 signs and bollards for Oxfordshire County Council (OCC).
As a Works Scheduler you will be part of our Operations Team who are responsible for the scheduling and coordination of Safety Defects and the performance reporting on the contract.
**As the Works Schedule your duties & responsibilities will be**:
- Working in a small team of 3 people to coordinate the repair of Safety Defects (potholes)
- Extracting Safety Defect information (type of repair, location of repair) from an electronic database or from telephone call feedback and allocating jobs to the appropriate delivery team
- Receiving calls from workforce to get on or off site for work and logging times and information on the systems accordingly
- Passing on information promptly and recording / taking information correctly
- Dealing with all Out of Hours works to make sure it is cross referenced between Local Control Service (LSC) in Oxfordshire and the Customer Service Centre in Birmingham systems - supplying / updating information on Excel spreadsheets.
**Skills & Knowledge Requirements**
- Confident / pleasant telephone manner - good all round communication skills - written, numerical and vocal
- Good IT skills - understanding of MS Excel spreadsheets, MS Word and Outlook
- Good timekeeping
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Map reading and geographical knowledge of Oxfordshire (desirable)
