Hospitality & Events Assitant
**Job description**
**The Riverside Centre is a busy, multi-functional venue, hosting business meetings, weddings and community events throughout the year. We are looking to recruit a Hospitality & Events Assistant with previous experience who can assist our small team in delivering an excellent customer experience to a wide range of clients and customers.**
On a daily basis you will also be required to set up meeting rooms, move tables, chairs, and equipment; clear away and perform basic housekeeping duties between bookings, often to tight deadlines. This role requires attention to detail, forward planning and methodical working.
You will also responsible for presenting and serving food and delivering refreshments to clients and guests in their meeting rooms in a timely manner.
Our events are as varied as our clients and this role would suit a responsible individual who is comfortable working alone at times and is confident communicating with people on all levels.
For weekend events you will be required to work behind the bar serving drinks, handling cash, clearing tables and restocking fridges.
This is a varied role that will suit someone who can work on their own without supervision, with some customer facing experience in hospitality, catering or events. We are looking for someone who can be flexible with their hours and be called upon with little notice, as bookings are often last minute and changeable.
This is a part time role spread over four or five days a week, including Saturdays (very rarely Sundays) with some early starts and late evenings.
There is also scope within this role to adopt responsibility and ownership of certain projects and facets of the operation for anyone looking to develop their skills.
