**The Role**
**Accounts Assistant - Credit Control - Permanent Role - Hybrid Working**
An opportunity has arisen to join a friendly and hardworking Finance team, in a key role supporting the organisation with their accounts receivable process. This is a varied Accounts Assistant role, which plays a key role in building strong relationships withcustomers to ensure effective income management. There's also an element of reporting and month end support involved In addition, you'll work together with the wider Finance team to support on monthly and weekly payroll processing.
Responsibilities will cover the following:

- Proactive management and timely collection of accounts receivable
- Processing customer invoices
- Checking and posting cash receipts to the accounting system
- Working closely with the commercial team regarding their overdue/disputed accounts
- Managing and processing day-to-day accounting transactions
- Bank reconciliations and other ad hoc reconciliations
- Assisting in month end cut-off and reporting
- Assisting the finance team with various tasks and projects
- Support for payroll processing as needed (collating, calculating, and entering data)
- Resolve payroll queries from employees and team leaders

**About You**
This role is suited to an experienced and confident Accounts Assistant who enjoys engaging externally to support the Financial position of the organisation.
- Credit Control experience - actively chasing customers to recover debt
- Good knowledge of transactional Finance
- Enjoys speaking to people and liaising with other areas of the business
- Good systems and Excel skills - ERP experience ideal

**Other Details**:

- Hybrid working model
- Working hours - Monday - Friday (8:30 am to 5.00pm)
- Salary £25,000-£27,000 DOE
- Annual Holiday Allowance - 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
