**Senior Accountant**

**Northampton**

**£35,000 - £40,000**

Our Northampton based client, a market leader within the IT Managed Services industry are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join them in their Finance Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to jump straight in to the day to dayaccounting operations.

**What You Will Be Doing**
- Support the monthly closing of the general ledger including analysing and interpreting account fluctuations and monthly/quarterly reporting
- Champion monthly variance analysis, reconciliations, tests of accounting data integrity
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and management reporting, including analysis and commentary
- Working with the wider business to maintain and review budgets and forecasts
- Review accounting transaction documentation for completeness and accuracy; identify and work to resolve accounting issues and variances.
- Oversee the customer billing & cash receipt processing
- Undertake financial close procedures for the month end, including intercompany balance reconciliation.
- Assist with preparation of statutory accounts at year end
- Assist with budget to actuals monitoring
- Assist in ongoing development, documentation, and testing of internal controls
- Support local and global finance teams with ad-hoc projects as they arise

**Skills**
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least 2 year of experience post-qualification
- Previous experience in full cycle accounting in a SaaS or tech company is a plus
- Highly organized & detail oriented
- Some knowledge of process improvement methodology and business process management techniques
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to forge effective relationships through all organizational levels and with customers
- Able to operate effectively & efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to implement processes and controls to ensure data integrity
- Able to research accounting issues and write memos
- Passionate about leveraging technology and experience implementing financial software to automate accounting and finance processes
- Experience in Netsuite, Charbee and Salesforce is a plus
- Strong proficiency in Excel
