Business Support Apprentice

**Job description**
Ellab UK is part of the Ellab AS company based in Denmark which has 25 offices over thirteen different countries employing over 900 staff. We provide world-leading validation, monitoring and calibration solutions and services, as well as GMP consulting, to life science and food manufacturing companies across the UK. Due to our continued expansion we are looking to appoint a full time business support apprentice based at our Ellesmere Port office. This is a newly created position which will work across our sales and operations team.

Duties & responsibilities:
- Support internal planning team with administrative tasks such as:
- Issuing documentation to customers.
- Sending customer equipment via courier.
- Quoting for replacement parts.
- Creating jobs within Ellab’s ERP, issuing to engineers / lab.
Support internal sales team with administrative tasks such as:
- Co-ordinating the customer returns process regarding RMA’s, Booking in, calibrations and repairs.
- Generate RMA numbers for known customer return orders.
- Communicating with customers regarding order issues, progress etc. Quote customers for calibration & repair service when requested.

Handle incoming calls from customers.
Keep track and inform key personal of lead times for customer return and calibration orders.
Accurate recording/communication of company & product data.
Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards to ensure an organised, clean & safe working environment for all employees.
Comply with all health and safety requirements as specified within company procedures.
Involvement/participation in team projects & process improvement initiatives.
Any other duties deemed necessary for the benefit of the company by management.
Knowledge, skills & experience required (Essential):
- Previous work experience, either in a full time or part time capacity.
- Fastidious - Very attentive to and concerned about accuracy and detail, with an inquisitive mind set, questioning everything.
- Personal management skills - Plan and organise multiple tasks, set priorities and adapt to changing situations & environments.
- Computer/technical literacy - Proficient with basic computer skills (e.g. able to use Microsoft Word and Excel) and be competent using a windows PC.
- Ability to follow formal written instructions and highlight errors within.
- Learning skills - Jobs are constantly changing and evolving, so must be able to grow and learn as changes come.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Knowledge, skills & experience required (Desirable):
- Enjoyment of team working, but also happy to work alone for long periods.
- Happy to do routine repetitive tasks as required.
- Motivated individual with a positive attitude and flexible approach to work.
- Proactive and happy to take ownership of problems.
- Interest in continuing professional development.
