**Job Title**:Finance Assistant

**Location**:Watford

**Working Hours**:9.00 am to 3.00 pm, Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week. (hours can be discussed)

**Contract Type**:part-time

**Salary Band**:£23k-£25k

**What are we looking for?**

TCHC are looking for a Account Assistant to join the expanding team. The role a fast-paced and requires someone who has good attention to detail.

The post holder will provide support to the finance management team and be responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.

**Qualifications**:

- SAGE 50 - minimum 2 years experience
- Excel skills/IT literate
- Educated to ‘A’ Level or above, or with a relevant NVQ, or comparable relevant experience or training.

**Main Tasks & Responsibilities**
- To support the Finance Controller with the smooth running of the finance department
- Assisting with the Accounts Payables and Receivables - including reconciling incoming invoices and match to purchase orders and updating Sage
- Maintain aged debtors and creditors
- Bank reconciliations
- Reconciliation of balance sheet items, such as control accounts on a monthly basis
- Preparation and posting of accrual and prepayment journals
- Management of staff expenses and ensure appropriate records are maintained
- Cash flow management and ensure Sage is kept up to date
- Files documents; invoices, staff expenses
- Receives and disburses payment, balances daily receipts, and prepares production reports using spreadsheets or daily balance sheets
- Assist with month end processes and other statutory demands
- Resolve client and supplier queries
- Disburses payment from and keeps records for a petty cash and reconcile monthly
- Prepares various financial related reports and records
- Assist during the audit in preparation of various packs
- Responds to enquiries and requests from staff, providers and projects
- The post holder will be required to produce reports when required
- Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding (including Prevent) the welfare of all learners for whom you have responsibility for or with whom you come into contact with and adhere to TCHC’s Safeguarding and Prevent policies.
- Other ad-hoc duties

**Note**:These responsibilities serve as an initial outline for the tasks that the post holder will initially be expected to perform. Changes may occur over time to accommodate evolving job requirements and adapt to shifting circumstances.

The individual in this role is responsible for upholding the confidentiality of information about clients, staff, and other stakeholders. Certain aspects of their work involve handling confidential information, which should not be disclosed to individuals outside the scope of their official duties. It is imperative that the post holder consistently always adheres to the provisions of the General Data Regulation Act.
