North Lynn, United Kingdom Surya Hotels Full time

This is a great opportunity to take on the next steps in your **Hospitality and Events** career and **be part of a team with Surya Hotels, reporting to & working with the hotels management team to maximise guest experience.**

In a new era in hospitality, make your mark and really drive it forwards, embracing our ‘**_Ownership with Personality_**’ values.

Its striking powder-blue façade, a study in Georgian elegance, is as much a part of King’s Lynn’s Tuesday Market Place as the stalls that have traded here for generations. It’s the quintessential market town hotel - a handsome hostelry with history at every turn, restored and restyled for the discerning twenty-first century traveller.

Political icons; princesses; the who’s who of King’s Lynn’s past - the Dukes Head has played host to them all. Today, period charm meets contemporary chic, 80 spacious rooms that envelope you in comfort, and the very best local produce is served - in our acclaimed restaurant, lounge and buzzing bar.

We’re looking for an organised and enthusiastic **Part Time** **Events Co-ordinator** with a positive and a friendly approach, you have nerves of steel, creativity and a drive to succeed, you pay close attention to detail
- every event is different and has it's own specific requirements
- you'll also provide exceptional customer service, exceeding guest expectations before they even know what they might want

To succeed within the role you should have previous experience of working within an Events and Hospitality role, and knowledge of hotel or F&B systems.

You also have natural sales ability, an approachable manner, and knowledge of the MS Office suite
- you're used to tracking event changes and guests' requests, searching for that missing detail a party has requested. You care, and are determined to make their event just perfect

Duties and responsibilities of the **Events Coordinato**r include:

- taking reservations, converting enquiries
- dealing with guests’ enquiries and assistance, walking through their requirements right to event delivery day
- collating guest packages, including wedding breakfasts and celebrations, add-ons and little extras
- making a stand out memorable event for all
- taking payments
- remembering your contract terms and ensuring they're adhered to
- ensuring a high level of customer service at all times
- maximising sales opportunities
- being creative how the event space may be used and looking for additional revenue streams

Shifts times will vary, include evenings and weekends as required, and you may need to work across your Event times to ensure the events run smoothly and you meet and greet the bookers and guests.

If the above role interests you please get in contact with us, we look forward to hearing from you soon.

In return for your commitment and enthusiasm for your role we offer you great opportunities to advance your career in Hospitality, Apprenticeships learning, access to our Employee Assistance Programme through Hospitality Action, Auto-enrolment pension and our new Wagestream facility to make savings and access retail discounts, as well as being part of the Tronc system..
