We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Planning and Partnerships Team at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust as a Strategic Planning Partner to support our clinical and corporate divisions in the development and delivery of their plans. You will be expected to operate at a strategic, Trust-wide level to understand how local plans, priorities and insights can support delivery of the Trust’s new and ambitious 5-year strategy.

Business Partnering
- Partner with clinical divisions to understand the key challenges and opportunities facing divisions and understand the interdependencies and impact on Trust-wide planning
- Influence, motivate and negotiate with stakeholders develop local service plans in accordance with the Trust standards and timescales
- Act as a two-way conduit between clinical divisions and the central planning team to identify planning challenges and develop common solutions
- Develop effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels (internally and externally) to identify and support service developments which directly relate to delivery of Trust strategy
- Work collaboratively and flexibly with stakeholders to develop plans and priorities

Business Planning
- Provide practical support to clinical divisions to help them understand the Trust strategy, their role in business planning and support development of their local plans
- Identify local service priorities developed through the planning cycle and support the Trust-wide prioritisation process
- Work with clinical, planning and programme delivery colleagues to identify risks, issues and interdependencies impacting the Trust’s strategic plan
- Coordinate specific aspects of the Trust’s annual planning framework including collating information and support for annual submissions (and any adhoc requests) as required by the Trust, its partners and NHS England and Improvement
- Work with the central planning team to deliver and continuously improve the Trust’s annual planning framework

Insights
- Identify gaps, challenges and opportunities in the provision of data and insights to support local service planning
- Support the implementation of a new service mapping and benchmarking model to inform Trust-level decision-making about services and financial sustainability
- Horizon scan externally to identify new insights, models and potential issues affecting Trust and divisional planning (including national planning guidance and regional context).
- Work with clinical divisions, corporate departments and external stakeholders including partners in the Integrated Care System to articulate the impact and value of data and insights on strategic planning
