HR Business Lead - Strategic HR Business Partner

Nottingham City Council is seeking a forward-thinking HR Business Lead/Strategic HRBP to join our vibrant team and make a real impact. As a strategic HR Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our services meet the needs of both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead HR strategy across various teams and make key decisions at both strategic and operational levels.
  2. Use data-driven insights to enhance performance, workforce planning, and talent management.
  3. Champion diversity, inclusion, and equality in everything we do.
  4. Build relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to stay ahead of HR trends and best practices.

What You'll Achieve:

  1. Develop high-level HR strategies that align with team and council objectives.
  2. Lead on key HR functions like recruitment, casework management, service redesign, and workforce planning.
  3. Manage a team to foster collaboration, make data-driven decisions, and drive people strategies across various departments.
  4. Oversee bespoke recruitment interventions to attract top talent.
  5. Manage complex employee relations and casework while balancing organisational goals with individual needs.
  6. Ensure legal compliance and best practice across all HR functions.
  7. Take a lead role for HR and OD to build leadership capacity and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in HR strategy and operations within a large, complex organisation; experience working in local council is highly advantageous.
  2. A passion for using data and insights to drive decision-making and improve services.
  3. Expertise in Recruitment & Safeguarding, Casework Management, Service Redesign, Workforce Planning, or Talent Management.
