This part time role (18.25 hours per week) will be hybrid working. Events, setting up, some organised meetings etcwill require on being on campus (or specific venue) support. Please note that the agreed days/hours will need to include Wednesdays and the administrator must attend the GRP weekly admin meetings (currently remote). The role is advertised as 3 months initially, but has the potential to continue until 31st July 2023.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- To develop and plan a range of events in discussion with the academic leads, such as the annual keynote lecture, conferences, seminars and webinars. To make all arrangements for GRP events including promotion and marketing, information for attendees, booking travel and accommodation for keynote speakers, booking venues and catering (when restrictions permit). To provide logístical support in the preparation and execution of seminars and webinar series, research away days and further ad hoc events.
- To provide administrative support to the co-ordinating committee of the GRP, including preparation of agendas and minutes of meetings as well as maintenance of day-to-day communications.
- To maintain a database of contacts (both internal and external) whose research interests/work is relevant to the Innovative Manufacturing and Future Materials GRP. To create a mailing list and circulate invitations as well as targeted and relevant information on funding opportunities to those on this list. To develop the Innovative Manufacturing and Future Materials GRP web presence. To work with the University Communications Office on Innovative Manufacturing and Future Materials GRP publicity (e.g. design of pamphlets, posters, stationery, web pages).
- To oversee budgetary systems for the Innovative Manufacturing and Future Materials GRP, including management of its core grant from the central university funds. To have an in-depth understanding of the University Finance System and where to code project specifics, process and authorise payments of travel claim forms for research projects, produce purchase requisitions, create vendors, authorise purchase invoices, ensuring compliance with University financial procedures. maintain comprehensive financial files and keep good records for audit purposes. assist the academic leads of the GRP in preparing the annual report to the University.
- To co-ordinate external, multidisciplinary funding bids within the Innovative Manufacturing and Future Materials theme in liaison with R&IS and to report on funding bids. To assist GRP researchers in the preparation of reports on small grants. To assist in the collation of evidence (inputs, outputs, impacts) for reports on larger grants, liaising with RIS as required.
- Other ad-hoc duties as required by your line manager.

**Skills and Experience**
- Educated to Degree Level or industry experience
- Experience in an administrative role with responsibility for managing an activity or project
- Strong IT and keyboard skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Windows suite of programmes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assimilate technical information and convey this clearly to both technical and non¬technical audiences
- Experience of web editing - site builder
- Experience of event management
- Experience or ability to learn organising and implementing online webinars
- Ability to use initiative and work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 4 months
Part-time hours: 18.5 per week

**Salary**: £14.71 per hour
