Job description

As our volunteer coordinator you will be helping people with dyslexia, those learning about healthy lifestyles and new learners doing traditional crafts such as pottery, stitching and gardening. We also make films, have open gardens and support refugees. Based on volunteers, Bell House Dulwich is an educational centre in Dulwich, South London.

Your role would be for one or two days each week, including Fridays, mostly working from Bell House. It would include:

- updating and maintaining a database of volunteers
- supporting project leaders in the recruitment and training of volunteers;
- undertaking DBS and other safeguarding checks as appropriate;
- Working with the marketing team to communicate with volunteers
- maintaining and developing volunteer policies
- support the running of volunteer events

Our vision is to encourage wider learning, beyond school age and outside the main school curriculum. We have been especially keen to work with disadvantaged individuals and to have a wide diversity of learners, volunteers and tutors.
