Visit York is a part of Make It York and is our leisure tourism brand. Under the brand Visit York, Make It York’s aim is to market the city and its surrounds as a must-see world-class destination to the leisure visitor and ensure investment to develop thequality of tourism in York. This encompasses all aspects of tourism marketing and communications, as well as resident engagement, market intelligence and supporting our member businesses.

We ensure that culture is relevant and accessible to everybody in York with an ambitious culture strategy.We also keep the city centre relevant and enticing for residents and visitors by curating a high-profile calendar of city centre festivals, activitiesand events, as well as managing the iconic Shambles Market.

This maternity cover position will develop new business and manage 150-200 existing accounts across Make It York’s portfolio, ensuring customer needs are met, by outlining opportunities and advocating all of our opportunities. We are looking for someonewho excels in raising sponsorship and digital advertising.

You will need to build and promote strong key stakeholder relationships by gaining an understanding of our stakeholders needs and communicating them across the wider business.By attending regular networking events you will gain further understanding aboutthe city, recognising opportunities and generating new leads.

You will also need to analyse and present sales and revenue data on a regular basis, identify emerging opportunities, revenue streams and market shifts to create viable propositions.

Working to sales deadlines and targets in order to meet our objectives as set out within our Business Plan.You will take accountability for both Digital advertising targets and Sponsorship, ensuring financial feasibility, delivery excellence and ensuringstakeholder expectations are met.

Along with joining a company passionate about the City of York, we will offer a competitive salary ranging from £28,000 -£30,000 per year, 37.5 hours per week, 28 days holiday (plus bank holidays) hybrid working and private health care scheme.
