An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen to work as part of the COMPASS (COMbinedPsychosisAndSubstance uSe) Programme in the post of Band 6 Senior Practitioner. The COMPASS Programme is a trust-wide service who work with people experiencing Dual Diagnosis Issues (severe and enduring mental health issues and problematic substance use). Using the Cognitive Behavioural and Integrated Treatment (C-BIT) Manual, we provide training and supervision to staff and deliver interventions to service users.

To provide a brief intervention service to mental health services within BSMHFT, based on the Cognitive-Behavioural Integrated Treatment (C-BIT) approach and using evidence based / client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.

To work in a consultancy role within assertive outreach teams providing supervision to staff at all levels in C-BIT and modelling the approach by co-working.

To participate in the planning, development and evaluation of clinical services using advanced clinical skills and knowledge.

To co-facilitate specialised group interventions for co-morbid clients.

To be responsible for the COMPASS Programme’s extensive training materials and the delivery of courses to both Trust and non-Trust staff.

To provide specialised individual and group supervision to trust staff based on The COMPASS Programme approach
