As Activities and Wellbeing Manager, you will be working closely with Registered Managers Care Home and Dom Care Manager to provide outstanding high-quality care and the best outcomes for our residents.

**As Activities and Wellbeing Manager you will,**
- Manage the activities team including overseeing all planned activities, completing appraisals, and dealing with any people related issues.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities and wellbeing program that caters to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
- Foster strong relationships with the local community, organisations, businesses, and volunteers to enhance community engagement opportunities for our residents.
- Organize and coordinate various social, recreational, and educational activities to promote mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure individualized care plans are aligned with residents' preferences and abilities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of activities, resident participation, and program outcomes to evaluate effectiveness and make necessary improvements.
- Producing a weekly programme and monthly newsletter, advertising and promoting the activities programme in a manner which encourages involvement from residents, relatives and staff.
- Managing the activities budget, maintaining financial records and sourcing required resources for activities in line with the budget.

- Maintaining excellent health and safety standards, ensuring all activities are risk assessed.
- Ensuring written records are maintained including the range of activities available, activity evaluations and resident assessments/participation.
- Updating the Richmond website and relevant social media channels regularly to promote activities to the local community and resident families.
**Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role**:
You have a full, clean driving licence, GSCE or equivalent in English and Maths and an NVQ in Health and Social Care with activity units. Previous experience of managing a team is essential and current involvement in community groups would be advantageous. With a positive attitude, you have the ability to motivate residents using your energy and great sense of humour. A creative approach to ideas and an ability to communicate with residents using a person-centred approach. Empathetic and friendly, you’ll have no problem building long lasting professional relationships with colleagues, residents, their families and members of the local community.
Because we care for vulnerable people, we’ll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).
