The EMEA Strategic Buyer will be responsible for the coordination, development and delivery of a commodity vision, strategy and associated detailed plan for the delivery of the local savings’ targets.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a relatively new team as the client transforms the procurement division and deliver value across the business.

Responsibilities include:

- Actively research, analyse and monitor relevant market/industry trends and indices and use them to ensure early identification of risks/opportunities that may influence short/long term strategy and decision making
- Monitoring and updating developments and changes to Commodities
- Actively seek, review and understand EMEA SITE needs ensuring they are captured and considered as part of Commodity Strategies and Strategic Sourcing Plans
- Ensure the Sourcing Process and associated strategic plans are developed and delivered
- Maintain the active supplier list for the responsible commodities, ensuring all suppliers are categorised & segmented
- Work closely with the Supplier Development and Quality Team to be aware of Key Supplier Performance
- Ensure full compliance to the Strategic Sourcing Process in identifying, scoping, implementing and delivering commodity strategic sourcing projects
- Develop Procurement Plans, and ensure site level stakeholder support
- Develop sourcing plans that define the Total Cost of Acquisition improvement projects
- Support Supplier Development & Quality teams
- Lead on key initiatives such as Design for Manufacture (DfM), Design to Cost (DtC), Value Stream Mapping (VSM)

Experience Requirements:

- Degree or equivalent
- Extensive procurement related experience
- Previous commodity & project management experience in specific to commodity role (i.e. castings, electronics etc.)
- Global Sourcing experience
- Advanced knowledge of full Microsoft Suite (especially Excel)
- Worked within a matrix organisation
- Familiar with a manufacturing or construction or related environment
