We have an exciting opportunity to join our Digital and Data team at Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Trust. This role manages our Business Intelligence function and is part of the wider Digital and Data management team.

We deliver an extensive range of services including analytics, statutory submissions, contract and commissioning reports and operational performance management information and our staff provide expert support and advice to clinical and corporate services within the Trust.

The successful applicant will be a highly skilled analyst, adept at identifying patterns in data who enjoys working with operational colleagues to drive data-based decision making.

They will have the ability to lead and motivate teams and individuals to be the best they can, ensuring there are explicit processes in place for appraisal, support, supervision and development.

The successful applicant will ensure that patients are at the heart of all decisions and clinicians are actively engaged in understanding the use of data within their decision making processes.

To take the operational lead for the provision and reporting of relevant data and intelligence requirements, both within the organisation and to external agencies.

To contribute to the development of strategies and policies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and other standards aimed at ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.

To develop, manage and evaluate stakeholder relationships to enable the delivery of data services.

To oversee the work of contractors and others to ensure they deliver effective services to the organisation where this is required.

To communicate clearly and effectively with all relevant internal and external staff regarding ongoing Information requirements.

To lead the delivery and management of the Business Intelligence Team function, including contract and commissioning, business intelligence, clinical coding, data quality, operational performance management and other relevant information requirements.

To support the implementation of strategy for the organisation within the context of data services.

To provide expert advice and guidance to managers, health professionals and other relevant members of staff on digital and data related issues, and the relationship to their programmes of work.

To provide significant support in leading change processes across the delivery of data services and wider Trust transformations where new information formats are required.

To ensure the learning, training and development of the Business Intelligence Team meets the current and emerging needs of the service and effectively manage the CPD requirements of all staff.

To lead and motivate the Business Intelligence Team to deliver an effective and efficient service, through effective mentoring and support initiatives.

To evaluate and monitor the requirements for data and information in the organisation and provide a professional lead with respect to the provision of information management.

To keep under review the likely future data and information requirements of the organisation.

Develops and advises on the best way to report performance and data quality in order to support continual service improvement.

To manage the recruitment and selection of the Business Intelligence Team and support with recruitment in the wider digital and data service when required.

To contribute to the development of a culture of openness allowing appropriate information to flow freely.

You may occasionally be asked to undertake such other duties that are deemed necessary in order to support business continuity within the Trust. This will only include tasks where you are appropriately trained.
