You will work closely with our registered OT’s to provide assessments and interventions within the Telford and Wrekin Community Mental Health Service and will be specifically aligned to our newly formed OT Clinic.

You must be able to function confidently in a multi-disciplinary team and will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will need to demonstrate a passion for making a positive contribution to improving the quality of life for people with complex mental health problems.
- You will work in an Adult Community Mental Health Service (CMHS) with registered Occupational Therapists and provide Occupational Therapy to individuals with a variety of mental health conditions.
- You will support the registered practitioners in the preparation and delivery of care/support plans including any administrative duties.
- Delivering a high-quality clinical service to service users and their families.
- Managing a complex caseload including being a named worker, with support from a registered practitioner.
- Delivering occupational therapy interventions, in accordance with an agreed care plan, to an identified group of people experiencing complex mental health related difficulties.

Working in a multi-disciplinary team and specifically within the Occupational Therapy practitioner within the service you will;
- Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessments, care planning and interventions in conjunction with service users and carers.
- Evaluate treatment plans and undertake discharge planning.
- Be responsible for an agreed caseload.
- Triage and assess referrals received by the Occupational Therapy Team.
- Assess, prescribe, and fit equipment in line with the trusted assessor criteria.
- Co-facilitate the Occupational Therapy group
