The role is part of Khidmat Centres’ Centre for Warmth
- Nourish and Thrive: Empowering communities for Sustainable Living Project. it is a specialist role to develop awareness and wrap around support for individuals and families towards safer & efficient use of energy and greener and healthier sustainable life styles. A key stand of the project is to imbue beneficiaries with knowledge, skills and confidence to be able to take ownership, make informed decisions and navigate the help and support they require to be able to achieve safe and healthier life styles.

Principal duties:
1. To undertake out-reach work to widen the scope of the project to individuals and families in the neighbourhood.

2. To make individuals and families aware of the choices and opportunities for safer, greener and healthier sustainable life styles.

3. Arrange awareness sessions around energy efficiency.

4. Raise awareness about the harmful effects of carbon-monoxide, for example, the safety of appliance installation and safety.

5. Information sessions regarding the process for Priority Service Registered (PSR)

6. Support families to manage pressures relating to income deprivation.

7. Raise awareness and sign post to government schemes.

8. To develop and sign post beneficiaries to mental health and wellbeing activities i.e. walking groups, social clubs, and day trips.

9. To identify and implement early interventions.

10. To develop and implement food poverty alleviation programmes and activities connecting people to food banks and luncheon clubs.

11. Signposting and referrals to specialist agencies for example family mediation and counselling support.

12. Undertake any additional duties and tasks not mentioned above deemed necessary to enhance the quality of delivery as required.

**Other responsibilities**:
Responsible for the safe use and storage of project and centre equipment

Responsible for undertaking the role with due regard for the integrity of the Khidmat Centres and not doing anything that may bring the organisation into disrepute.
