As Head of ICT Service Delivery at No10 you will be working to the Chief Technical Officer. You will be responsible for implementing and delivering the vision and strategy for ICT services to No10 business areas. You will do this, ensuring processes are developed in a timely fashion, in line with business, security and legal requirements and that they are maintained, managed, and supported effectively.

Your duties will include:

- Leading and managing the ICTS technical delivery team of 6/7 staff, ensuring appropriate skills, resources and capacity are in place to deliver services
- Managing the ICT service management function at a senior level including project management and service development
- Acting as an escalation point for technical, security and business requests, incidents, problems, and cyber security measures.
- Bringing in innovation to support business requirements, doing this through appropriate and relevant suppliers and technologies.

**Person specification**:
The role oversees the delivery and management of ICT Services for No10. It ensures that No10 has a robust and fit for purpose ICT service that clearly demonstrates value for money. It involves writing business cases, tendering for new contracts, and managing contracts. As the post holder you will be leading the team that run and manage ICT live and in development ICT services. Your job it to ensure they adhere to business, technical, security and legal requirements and comply with organisational policies. You will oversee management of all ICT assets for the ICT system, ensuring they are recorded, monitored, secured and controlled appropriately. You will work with your team to ensure services are managed through their entire life cycle, updated and maintained appropriately to safeguard services and protect data and voice integrity. You will work mainly on site, but you will also be required to visit remote locations and offices to oversee or manage infrastructure and equipment, occasionally this could be abroad.
- ** Business analysis/IT operations.** You will lead investigative work into ICT Service problems and develop opportunities in existing processes, driving the collection of information and creation of recommendations for improvements. You will know how to absorb large amounts of conflicting information and use it to prioritise to produce practical cost-effective solutions.
- ** Continual service improvement.** You will know how to analyse current processes, identify, and implement opportunities to optimise processes, and lead and develop a team of technical experts to deliver service improvements. You will work with Service Support, No10 Security, and other relevant areas to evaluate and establish requirements for the implementation of changes by setting policy and standards.
- ** Ownership and initiative.** You will take accountability of ICT issues and problems that occur and be proactive in searching for potential problems. You will know how to achieve excellent user outcomes and implement them.
- ** Project management.** You will advocate the use of agile delivery methodology across the team and help build understanding and capability across all teams, including coaching senior stakeholders.
- ** Relationship management.** You will fully contribute to your team’s technical and resourcing strategic vision and direction. You know how to positively influence important strategic stakeholders and prioritise their needs and requirements.
