We are now looking to recruit a Senior Meeting and Events Sales Co-ordinator to join sales office.

The Park Plaza Hotel Cardiff is a 4-star deluxe hotel situated in the heart of Cardiff city centre just a short stroll from all the main shopping centres, Cardiff University, Cardiff Castle, City Hall and the world-famous Principality Stadium. We offer 129 state-of-the-art guestrooms, 120-seater Laguna Kitchen and Bar and the luxurious Laguna Health & Spa. Our 11 award winning conference rooms are ideal for conferences and seminars, lunches, dinners and charity fundraising events. The largest meeting space is the Plaza Suite which can accommodate up to 160 guests theatre style and is also ideal for a lunch or dinner. In addition we also have our Moroccan themed venue, the Kuku which offers a unique venue ideal for birthday parties, wedding receptions, and engagement parties, award ceremonies, fundraising and networking events.

Reporting to the Director of Sales & Revenue you will need to drive M&E sales by converting enquiries and maximising all sales opportunities. You will know and understand what it means to deliver amazing hospitality and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding guest’s expectations and meeting targets.

**You will need**:
Previous experience working as a Meetings and Events coordinator in a similar environment, ideally within a 4-star hotel

A keen eye for detail and be capable of delivering consistent standards with a can-do attitude

To be totally sales driven and competent in implementing sales processes and strategies

To enjoy the buzz of being busy and meeting targets and deadlines

Demonstrate excellent communication skills and outstanding interpersonal skills

Operational M&E knowledge and experience, with a willingness to support the team

To have a great personality and be genuine, approachable, attentive and instinctive in meeting the needs of your client, to be smart and well presented

Ideally, have a degree, HND or equivalent qualification and operational experience of Opera Sales and Catering.
