We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our Finance team on a 12 month fixed term contract. Working Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:30pm based on the outskirts of Scarborough, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing invoices, and assisting with accounts payable tasks. As Purchase Ledger Clerk, your role will include the following responsibilities:

- Process invoices accurately and efficiently
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Assist in month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable
- Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers
- Utilise accounting software to input data and generate reports

To be successful in this role of Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will ideally have the following skills and experience:

- Proven experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk or similar role
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle or Xero would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: From £27,000.00 per year
