Temporary Finance Assistant

An exciting opportunity for a Temporary Finance Assistant to join a business on the outskirts of Scarborough (along A64), for 4 to 5 weeks ongoing, in a part-time role. On offer is an hourly rate of circa £14 per hour, for around 24 hours per week. This role can also offer some flexibility with hours/days.
Key responsibilities of the Temporary Finance Assistant will include:
- Processing purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and reconciling discrepancies
- Maintaining supplier accounts and resolving any payment queries
- Undertake ad hoc tasks as required to assist in the general running of the department
We are keen to speak with individuals who have previous experience in a similar position, you may be an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant, Finance Officer, or Finance Manager looking for a new opportunity, or a Finance Administrator, Accounts Administrator, Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger Clerk, Accounts Payable, Sales Ledger Clerk or Accounts Receivable looking to progress.
To be successful in this Temporary Finance Assistant role opportunity, you will ideally:
- Have previous experience of working within a similar role
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Be proficient in accountancy software knowledge, such as Sage, Xero or Quickbooks. Ideally, you will also have good MS Office Excel skills too.
- Have exceptional organisational, communication and team working skills
Based out the outskirts of Scarborough (along A64), this role is commutable from Pickering, Malton, Norton, Filey, Hunmanby and surrounding areas. Ideally you will drive and have access to a car.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 5 weeks
**Salary**: £12.00-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
