Buyers Clerk

**25 hour (5 days) Buyers Clerk, Eastfield, Scarborough**

**Role**

An opportunity has arisen for a Buyers Clerk to work within our Buying department. You will be responsible for supporting the Buying department ensuring high quality standards are met, whilst also maintaining excellent levels of customer service to internal and external customers. This job role will offer an interesting and wide variety of duties depending on the needs of the business on a week-to-week basis. However, key duties will include ability to:

- Ensure Polite and efficient reception of representatives at warehouse
- Carry out clerical duties to the purchasing, receiving, storing and despatching of merchandise
- Check and adjust Branch stock levels throughs PERs, stocktakes BGRs etc
- Bring any problems to the notice of the Buyer or Office manager
- Assist with preparations for stocktaking and the input of data
- Receive telephone messages and orders ensuring that these are fulfilled if possible and that messages are passed on.
- Ensure working area is maintained in a clean, safe and hygienic condition.

In addition, the role requires:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a confident telephone manner and the ability to communicate effectively with people on all levels
- Be flexible in the type of duties you perform and undertake any duties which may be reasonably required by the Company
- Focus to follow processes diligently
- Superb attention to detail with a commitment to the highest quality of output
- Competent ability in Microsoft Office packages: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Organisational skills with high attention to detail and a desire to show initiative whilst keeping to deadlines
- Understands the importance of the role within the team

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £14,846.00 per year

Expected hours: 25 per week
