Cash and Sales Ledger Clerk Job Opportunity

We are recruiting an experienced Cash and Sales Ledger Clerk to work with us at Stoneacre in Scarborough, United Kingdom.

Key Details:

  • Location: Scarborough, United Kingdom
  • Salary: £24,000 - £30,000 per annum dependent on experience
About the Role:

This role involves daily processing of key accounts functions such as cash, bank, purchase ledger and sales ledger under the supervision of the Branch Accountant.

Responsibilities:
  • Reconciliation of daily banking and bank statements
  • Maintenance of Purchase Ledger - processing invoices, correcting nominal codes, reconciling supplier statements and setting up monthly BACS payment runs
  • Creation and processing of various payments using online banking system
  • Customer refunds processed through the PDQ machine
  • Credit control - sending statements, chasing debtors including vehicle debt
  • Warranty Self Billing Invoices processing
  • Finance Commission statements processing
  • Petty cash control and monthly reconciliation
  • Manufacturer bonus Self Billing Invoices and credit notes processing
Requirements:
  • Accounting experience with reliability and conscientiousness
  • Opportunities for learning and progression into balance sheet reconciliations
  • Good IT skills, particularly MS Office including Excel
