**General Job Description and Role**

The role will initially require attendance at our Tamworth office five days per week (normal working hours 9.00 am to 5.30 pm with one hour for lunch). We are currently looking at hybrid working arrangements with our staff, allowing them to be home based for some of the time. Because of the training required in connection with this particular post, however, it is unlikely that hybrid working could be discussed or agreed for a minimum period of six months.

The day to day role will include, but not necessarily be limited to:

- Processing new instructions
- Talking to Loss Adjusters, insurers and customers
- Making appointments and organising surveyors/engineers diaries.
- Dealing with customers’ queries or concerns quickly and efficiently.
- Preparing draft contract documents at the request of technical teams.
- Maintaining full electronic file records of claims.
- Preparing draft invoices.
- Processing contractor payments at the request of technical teams.
- Preparing and issuing regular reports to the senior management team.
- Collating, regularly maintaining and reporting on a full suite of MI and SLA data.

Likewise, because the role often involves talking to and dealing with sometimes distressed and highly vulnerable individuals, a very professional, clear, unambiguous, but empathetic nature is required. An ability to be flexible and deal with increased workloads in times of claim surge is also very important.

Very good competency in the use of Word, Excel, Google Calendar, Outlook, Thunderbird etc and all round office skills are essential, and further training will be provided in connection with a number of other specialist claims management systems that we regularly use (Symbility Mobile Claims, Corelogic, Guidewire etc). An ability and keenness to learn new skills is therefore paramount.
