**About us**
The Shared Regulatory Service (SRS) is a partnership between Bridgend Council, Cardiff Council and the Vale of Glamorgan Council to deliver the Environmental Health, Trading Standards and Licensing functions.

Shared Regulatory Services currently has a vacancy within our Industry Team. We are looking for an Environmental Health Professional who is enthusiastic and self-motivated to be part of a proactive and hardworking team of experienced officers..

The team is responsible for Primary Authority, bespoke business advice, training events and major events liaison including the Capital City of Cardiff and leads on realising income generation and cost recovery opportunities for the Service. This proactive work runs alongside our inspection programme and reactive enforcement work to improve compliance across the region.

**About the role**
Pay Details: Grade 9, SCP 31-35 : £37,261- £41,496p.a

Main Place of Work: Bridgend/Cardiff/Vale of Glamorgan, office locations and home working.

You will be responsible for Primary Authority, bespoke business advice, training events and major events liaison including the Capital City of Cardiff and leading on realising income generation and cost recovery opportunities for the Service. This proactive work runs alongside our inspection programme and reactive enforcement work to improve compliance across the region.

A key aspect of the role will be to act as a primary point of contact and liaison between SRS and our Primary Authority businesses which includes some of the UK’s largest retailers and also some key local businesses.

You will be responsible for the creation and delivery of training packages for businesses as required across the various regulatory functions that SRS covers, including Food Hygiene and Health and Safety, therefore experience in providing training or lecturing would be advantageous

**About you**
An experienced Environmental Health Professional with experience of working collaboratively with partners, strong communication skills and be able to work creatively with the team to maximise business support services.
