This brand new role supports the operations team in the efficient running of the company’s supply chain with a focus on purchasing and supplier liaison. You will work closely with the purchasing and sourcing team, logistics, sales administration and finance. It will be expected that you can work independently in a busy and varied environment.

This is an opportunity to work in a business set up approximately 30 years ago and considered the best in its field. The team is small, friendly and very well established, so there is a wealth of inhouse expertise.

You will be rewarded with 23 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays, rising to 28 days with service; discretionary annual bonus; free parking; and company social events.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 830am - 5pm.

**Main aspects of role**:

- Raising POs from order demand, accurately entering them onto the system
- Liaison with suppliers on expected delivery dates and dealing with delivery inaccuracies
- Entering supplier invoices for goods received, raising and investigating any discrepancies
- Maintaining the supplier information held in the system, highlighting any significant changes
- Entering sales forecasts
- Accurate producing and sending of customer invoices / statements
- Helping with the administrative aspects of the ISO quality system
- Online filing and archiving of certifications and maintenance of the shared documents online folders
- Helping Managers with premises maintenance, H&S reporting, etc

**Requirements and skills**:

- Previous administrative experience gained within a similar environment
- Exceptional customer focus, with the ability to adapt to different customers
- Competency with Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, Word and basic Excel
- Good communication skills to include accurate written and clear verbal instructions
- Some experience of liaising with suppliers would be beneficial
- Ability to work independently as part of a small team
- You will be required to multi-task and prioritise your workload effectively
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot discrepancies quickly
- Keen and willing, with a genuine desire to learn and develop
