**Job summary**:
DWP is at the forefront of risk-based security programmes within Government and industry with Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM) playing a pivotal role in strengthening the security of government products and services used by millions of people.
We are looking for a Grade 7 People Engagement Lead to join our team.
You will play a vital role in leading on the development, delivery, and operation of the ESRM people and culture strategy which is essential to successful delivery of business objectives. You will be integral to the smooth and efficient operation of the team.
You’ll need to be willing to travel to other DWP locations, with occasional overnight stays required.
**Job description**:
Our people are crucial in enabling ESRM supports DWP and its customers.
We’re looking for an adaptable and enthusiastic leader, with an excellent eye for detail and an appreciation for the bigger picture within which you work. You will be confident in communicating with a diverse stakeholder group and have the interpersonal skills to influence and motivate.
The People Engagement Lead will be a unique role supporting the SCS1, their leadership team and the overarching deliverables of the team.
As a culture change expert you will be supporting the achievement of the ESRM vision through tactical strategy development bringing it to reality.
**The roles and responsibilities include, but are not restricted to the following**:
- Developing a range of bespoke interventions focused on affecting cultural change across ESRM
- People engagement strategy
- Communications strategy
- Talent development / Succession Planning
- Organisation Design and Development (OD&D)
- Develop, communicate and deliver a People vision for our team.
**Person specification**:
**Essential Criteria**
- Proven experience of interacting with senior leaders to present, escalate and influence decision making
- Strategic with proven leadership experience. Can demonstrate the ability to engage, negotiate, and communicate easily and confidently with people at all levels
- A comprehensive understanding and track record of delivering culture change through strategic and tactical interventions
- Experience of facilitating organisational change within a similar organisation
- An effective decision maker, who utilises evidence, available data and experience to provide clear, accurate and professional decisions
- The ability to thrive in a challenging environment, working to tight deadlines while prioritising a large and varied workload.
**Desirable qualifications**
Successful completion of the Organisational Development & Design core practice programme
**Desirable past experience and skills includes but is not limited to**:
High-level understanding of the security environment and how it currently operates.

This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work. The number of days that anyone will be able to work at home will be determined primarily by business need, but personal circumstances and other relevant circumstances will also be taken into account.
