**Senior Residential Support Worker**

**Accountable to**: Deputy Manager, Registered Manager, Operations Manager, Responsible Individual

**Responsibilities**:
1. To take a lead role in the management of the care and welfare of each child and young person in placement.

2. To provide guidance and support to all Residential support Workers.

3. To be accountable for the supervision of designated members of staff members and to record this in the Supervision Sheet on the staff member's file.

4. To present any concerns to the the Registered Manager as appropriate

**Tasks**

1. To plan, manage and lead shifts ensuring children and young people are kept safe and engaged throughout the day.

2. To ensure the Placement Plan for each child is followed and adhered to at all times.

3. To ensure education and school are promoted and that each child’s attendance in education is maintained.

4. To ensure that all staff members act in a professional manner.

5. To ensure all policies and procedures, as well as risk assessments, are adhered to at all times.

6. To ensure that all staff members comply with duty rotas and are included on a ‘rolling rota’ format, as to gain maximum experience in the working methods of other staff.

7. To ensure that all staff members read the Daily Log Book to check all messages at the beginning of work or at any point during the working day as required. e.g. following a day trip.

8. To ensure that all staff members have written up any incidents / accident forms or physical hold forms as applicable and that such information is relayed to the Registered Manager within the agreed timescale.

**General Duties**

1. To attend meetings and training as required by Bayleaf Care.

2. To be integral in part for the creation a pleasant working atmosphere.

3. To be flexible in hours of work in order to meet the needs of the rota, as required.

4. To be aware of Health and Safety regulations particularly as related to the upkeep of the building and its surroundings.

5. To undertake any other duties that may be reasonably requested.

6. To safeguard and promote the welfare of children and be aware of relevant policies and procedures.

7. Adhere to and promote Bayleaf Care's Equalities, Inclusion and Diversity Policy.

**N.B.** The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within Bayleaf Care and the overall objectives of the Children Residential Services.
- **An annual salary of £36,000 (£17.31 per hour) to £38,000 (£18.27 per hour), depending on qualifications; additional 8 sleeps (per month) at £55 per night**:
