We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join our team across two diverse services to support the Service Manager.
The services include domiciliary care and supported living for adults with learning disabilities and autism.

**Key responsibilities of position**:
1. To be able to adapt your way of working to meet the needs of the service users within each service, as this role covers both Carton Homecare and Carlton Supported Living
2. To deliver high standards of care to the service user/s and support the management team to promote quality of care; always maintaining the safety, dignity and right to privacy of the service user
3. To lead on the development, implementation and review of person-centred support planning, ensuring the team are aware of any changes to care and support needs of service users
4. To act as a role model in the delivery of good quality care and monitor and promote delivery of good quality care by other team members communicating any concerns to the management team
5. Communicate effectively with other team members and promote effective communication within the team
6. Always communicate effectively with service users and external professionals recognising their needs for alternative methods of communication
7. Take responsibility for own developmental learning and performance, including participating in supervision and appraisals
8. To assist in supporting, inducting, and guiding new staff members, including undertaking competency assessments, where requested by the Service Manager.
9. To undertake all mandatory training and other identified training which will develop you in your role and ensure compliance with statutory regulations
10. To recognise and understand the roles and responsibilities of individuals working within the team both internally and externally and support new staff to understand these
11. Be aware of the level of accountability and responsibility pertinent to the role of a Team Leader
12. Maintain an effective relationship with the Management team, keeping them informed of any issues or concerns in relation to the service, team, or service user
13. Identify the risks involved in work activities that yourself and the wider team undertake and carry them out in a way that manages the risks and adheres to legislation, risk assessments, policies and procedures that are in place
14. Work effectively with the service user and or their representative to deliver person centred care packages which reflect best practice and meet the needs and preferences of the service user.
15. Know and adhere to the health and safety policies and procedures within the workplace (including fire procedures) monitoring and maintaining equipment and furniture within your area of responsibility and ensuring robust records are kept
16. Work closely with the service user and or their representative to support/assist them to work in line with care and risk assessments as planned
17. Record information regarding service users and other relevant information in an accurate and timely fashion and oversee that junior staff comply with best practice standards
18. Always present a professional image including adherence to the company dress code
19. Alert other team members to issues of quality and risk in the care of service users and support the management team to lead on effective risk assessment and the implementation of risk management measures
20. Support the management team to ensure compliance by completing designated audits and implement action plans
21. Adhere to Information Governance, Security policies including Confidentiality and GDPR
22. Any other reasonable duties that will be expected from time to time as service needs, standards and guidelines change
**Infection Prevention and Control**
1. Ensure PPE procedures are implemented
2. Ensuring food storage and quality standards are met
3. Complete relevant temperature checks
4. Ensure that the environment is clean, odour free and maintained to a high standard through the completion of cleaning duties as required by yourself and wider team members
5. Support the Infection Prevention and Control Lead to roll out the Infection Control Strategy, actions from audits and ensure best practice advice is followed
**Other responsibilities**
1. Attend staff and service user meetings
2. Support the Manager to ensure delivery of the Service Improvement Plan and Quality Assessment Framework
3. To actively participate and promote the introduction and embedding of new systems and procedures to continuously improve service delivery
