Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Payroll and HR Administrator to join our friendly HR team. This is a fantastic development opportunity where you will study alongside work to gain an industry recognised payroll qualification. Working within the HR team you will learn how to support the accurate and timely processing of the payroll and pensions service as well as developing skills and understanding of HR administration. You will receive a competitive salary of between £10,159-£14,411 per annum for a 37 hour per week contract which includes time to attend the off the job training required to complete the apprenticeship.

**About the role**:

- You will be joining a busy and friendly HR department and will be supporting the delivery of a variety of payroll tasks such as the processing of monthly salaries, claims, pension updates. You will assist the Payroll Manager in maintaining and processing employees’ data accurately and in timely manner.
- You will be trained to assist the HR Administrators in a variety of HR administrative duties including raising purchase orders for agency staff through the internal finance system and recording and arranging staff development requests and onboarding letters.
- This role is ideal for someone who wishes to commence or progress in a career in Payroll or HR, therefore experience of Payroll or HR is not required, but any related experience or demonstrable skills are highly desirable.
- You will have 7.5 hours within your weekly working hours allocated to achieving a L3 Payroll Administrator apprenticeship and the support and guidance from a well-structured and experienced HR Team.

**Agile working**

The postholder will benefit from the ability to work from home for part of the working week. On site duties can be completed at either the Cambridge or Huntingdon campus.
