Davies Resourcing are working with a prestigious further education institute with links the the creative arts industry, to recruit a permanent Head of Reward for the business. This is a London-based role operating a hybrid working model, with flexibilityon travel requirements to the office.
The purpose of this role is to develop a strategy and policy for pay, reward, benefits and performance which is aligned to the business objectives, and meets the ongoing and future institutional needs in relation to the pay and reward agenda across all departments.This role will also deliver a programme of strategic projects focused on reward, advising on priorities, issues and risks across the business.
Key responsibilities include:

- Create a holistic approach to reward, combining a range of different pay and benefits offerings into a flexible framework which meets the diverse needs of employees.
- Develop and communicate reward and recognition policy and practise business-wide, including publishing a reward calendar to ensure clarity and transparency to all stakeholders and employees
- Design and be accountable for job evaluation protocol and implementation, including overseeing panels and communication of decisions
- Manage and communicate all benefit schemes, ensuring synergy and cost-effective arrangements with suppliers
- Design and lead the annual pay and performance review process in collaboration with the Deputy Director of HR
- Ensure all aspects of reward, benefits, policy and performance are focused on diversity and inclusiveness to ensure accessibility and equality of approach to all colleagues
- Ensure regular bench-marking and market related pay research is undertaken when necessary to enable the business to remain competitive and an employer of choice
- Oversee production of gender and race pay gap, and other pay-related data, reporting in accordance with statutory and best practise requirements.

Key skills, experience and qualifications required for the role include:

- Fellow or Chartered member of the CIPD
- Previous experience working within the Higher Education sector
- Demonstrable experience of the development of innovative approaches to existing complex reward frameworks
- Experience of leading/supporting Trade Union negotiations and consultation
