Commissioning & Contracting Support Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Corporate Strategy Directorate based in Headquarters.
This role is a key supporting role to assist the Strategy Directorate in the management of its commissioning, contracting and performance functions.
You will have responsibilities in supporting the Commissioning and Contracting Manager with Bridgend Boundary Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Procurement of Outsourcing/Insourcing external capacity and Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee. The post holder will play a key role in assisting the arrangements for internal and external Long Term Agreement performance meetings including the production of regular summary reports, scheduling of meetings, collation of papers and minute taking. The post holder will also be expected to provide cover for the Individual Patient Care Commissioning Officer.
A multi-skilled and faceted role; providing general administrative support to the team, which can include arranging meetings, typing of correspondence, use of software packages. The post holder will need to respond to routine as well as non-routine complex queries in an effective and timely manner.
The post requires analysis of performance and financial activity, to ensure profile positions are on track, flagging unexpected over/under performance and working with the service/ external provider to understand the reasoning’s. The post holder will therefore be required to pay attention to detail at all times.
The post holder will be required to use their own initiative, manage their own workload and therefore act independently. The post requires receiving sensitive patient information and ensuring that it is securely managed, and stored confidentially at all times.
