As our Marketing Coordinator, you will work as part of our Marketing and Events teams, to drive the success and growth our MCM Comic Con and EGX events in the UK, as well as making hundreds of thousands of fans very happy
Our MCM and EGX events are synonymous with the most influential pop culture experiences in the UK and forms a part of ReedPop’s global comics events portfolio that includes PAX, New York Comic Con, C2E2, Emerald City Comic Con, Florida Supercon, and more.
This role is perfect for a hard-working, detail-oriented and reliable marketeer with a passion for consumer events and an ability to manage multiple challenges as well as demanding stake holders in a fast-paced but rewarding work environment.
With an initial focus on our MCM events, we are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented marketeer that is willing to be completely immersed in pop culture and associated fandoms to identify trends that will drive ticket sales, sponsorship opportunities, media exposure and exciting new experiences for our fans.
Responsibilities Include:

- Work with marketing, event and content teams to execute the marketing strategy for our MCM Comic Con and EGX events.
- Track and measure key metrics (ROI and KPIs) of all marketing initiatives and proactively keep marketing and event leadership informed of status and deliverables.
- Help to develop and then execute a comprehensive organic social media plan focused on driving high levels of customer engagement.
- Regularly update copy, images, and announcements on the event websites and maintain, update, and monitor social media accounts.
- Explore marketing partnerships in fandoms, as well as local and surrounding markets in order to drive awareness and ticket sales
- Assist with mobile app product feedback to development, providing updates, and app marketing.
- Collaborate with outside agency partners as needed
- Ensure all messaging and imagery represents our portfolio of shows and ReedPop positively and authentically
- Support a "one team" approach through collaboration with event management, sales, registration, operations, digital, creative and our brand partners
- Maintain an eye for detail and quality on projects big and small, while communicating with the team to meet deadlines
- Proactively seek out the latest trends in marketing and advertising to help us achieve our audience acquisition and retention goals

Required Skills and Experience:

**Some demonstrable experience of marketing in events, social media, digital marketing, or any other relevant and related experience required.**

- Excellent copywriting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Must be comfortable executing marketing plans for B2C audiences involving digital marketing, consumer insights, social media platforms, and marketing analytics.
- Professional level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms (including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok).
- Ability to travel 6-8 times per year domestically (and possibly internationally)
- Organized, detail oriented & proactive with a strong sense of ownership and a true passion for pop culture, fan communities and the brands we work with
- Resourceful and willing to find creative solutions that will help you achieve your goals.
- Able to adjust and thrive within a fast-paced work environment with unpredictable deadlines and schedules.
- Must be highly collaborative with a “We” not “Me” mentality. Be flexible in your viewpoints, always looking for the best ideas and ready to be an advocate for ideas other than your own.
- Secure enough in yourself to be able to ask for help, say “I don’t know” and always learn from your mistakes.

Desirable Skills and Experience: *

- Degree in Marketing or related field is preferred, but is not essential.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop) or designing branded marketing assets with tools such as Canva.
- Knowledge of or contacts in the pop culture industry are an advantage, but is not essential
- Ability to work flexibly on different events and projects. Our marketing team is very collaborative, so you may be asked to work on additional ReedPop events or projects as bandwidth allows
