Opened in 2019 The Sea, The Sea is a seafood bar and fishmonger located in the heart of Chelsea on Pavilion Road. In the morning we a fishmonger and retail space supplying London’s freshest fish to private customers and chefs. By lunchtime we are also a seafood bar serving London’s most progressive fish dishes with a wine list to match.
The Sea, The Sea is the only seafood restaurant in London that owns the whole fish supply chain from water to plate. From our wholesale locations in Looe (Cornwall) and Hackney, we currently supply 100+ of London’s top restaurants, and are the only supplier who can deliver fish from water to plate in under 24 hours
We’re looking to grow our team with ambitious, passionate and dedicated professionals who want to build a career in an exciting, cutting-edge environment. As such we are currently recruiting a new Service position for our Chelsea site to join us on the next exciting chapter. We have recently restructured the company operations and have recruited key personnel who will enable us to execute our plans for the coming years. You will be someone who is customer focused in everything they do, loves (sea)food and wine, and is hungry to learn more and develop their career. You should be intrinsically motivated, and as such always be striving to perform your role to the best of your ability.
You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills and will be able to deal challenging situations and customers with ease and finesse. You will also have the opportunity to assist our retail team and doing so will provide a perfect opportunity to cross-train and may open avenues for future progression within the business.
We are a young and ambitious team and try to be progressive in everything that we do. We would especially value applicants with some wine training and experience, but this is not a prerequisite. You will be a bit of an all-rounder, or willing to expand your skill set into other areas. We are a small site, so everyone in the team is expected to take reservations, devise and manage seating plans, deliver food to tables, place orders and process deliveries, and of course selling (and upselling) food and wine. Being hospitable should be a core trait in your character.
