Job Title: Senior Care Assistant

Job Role: In this role, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, support junior staff, and ensure the highest standards of care are maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with their personal care needs.
  • Answer call bells, emergency bells, the door, and the telephone: greet visitors.
  • Assist in the care of residents who are unwell or dying.
  • Help to control the issue of drugs for which the Home has taken responsibility, to maintain the necessary records and to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the systems for administering medication.
  • Help to ensure that the preparation, cooking, and serving of food meet the required standards.
  • Help to ensure that rooms and common spaces are properly cleaned, maintained, and adequately heated.
  • Lead, facilitate, and participate in staff meetings, staff training, supervision, appraisal, and developmental activities.
  • Carry out supervision and induction of designated staff as required.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Health and Social Care (NVQ Level 3 or above).
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to care.
  • A reliable and flexible attitude, with a commitment to high-quality care.
  • The right to work in the UK (eligible for full-time employment). Note: Visa sponsorship is not provided.

Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary based on experience, ranging from £25,000 to £35,000 per annum.
