**Role**:
**Who You Are**
- Qualifications: You are educated to degree standard and possess a detailed knowledge of part 3 of the Children & Families Act 2014, subordinate legislation and supporting code of practice. You have a good understanding of SEN issues as they affect parents, children, young people and educational settings. Ideally, you have teaching and/or SENCO qualifications or evidence of professional development in education. You have excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills as well as experience in leading multiagency meetings, writing person centred plans and preparing reports.
Experience: You have worked with children/young people with special educational needs and disabilities and have experience with partnership working. You are familiar with communicating using a variety of different methods including non - verbal communication. It would be desirable if you had experience of working with a broad range of education, social care and health care professionals. You are able to travel across the borough and work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.

**What the Job Involves**
- As an EHCP Co-ordinator, you will support the Council in meeting its statutory duties under part 3 of the Children & Families Act 2014. This includes facilitating person-centred planning meetings, co-ordinating assessments, and drafting and reviewing Education, Health and Care Plans. You will act as the main point of contact for parents/carers and young people wishing to engage in the Education Health Care assessment process. Furthermore, you will ensure the Council complies with the statutory timetable for the completion of statutory assessments/reviews. Your duties also involve attending mediation sessions, supporting managers to represent the Council before the Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunal (SENDIST), and modelling best practice in accordance with the act and supporting code of practice.
