Clinical Governance Co-ordinator - Pharmacy AfC Band 6 37.5 hrs (Mon-Fri) fixed term/secondment
We are looking for an enthusiastic, efficient and organised individual to join us on a 12-month fixed term contract or secondment until the substantive postholder returns from maternity leave. The job description/structure are generic for these posts within the Trust, this post is fully Pharmacy based.
- To support local clinical governance meetings ensuring that agendas and all associated papers are prepared and circulated in a timely manner
- To design, undertake and support audit projects
- To maintain and update department audit forward plan, producing reports as necessary for monitoring and assurance purposes.
- Ensure the timely review, update and approval of patient information leaflets and internal clinical guidelines / SOPs
- To disseminate NICE guidance and support in providing a compliance response to the Governance Support Unit including documenting and monitoring any implementation actions which arise
- Disseminate National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) alerts and notices with the department and ensure that responses are provided to the Governance Support Unit in a timely manner
- Support the division in the collection and co-ordination of data for submission towards the CQC inspections.
Look to continually improve own practice and offer suggestions for improving the service provided to the division
