An appealing opportunity to join the Greater Manchester Liaison and Diversion Team as Senior Community Engagement Worker.

The role of Senior Community Engagement Worker has been developed specifically for an individual with lived experience of vulnerabilities including: mental health/ homelessness/ substance misuse/ learning difficulties/ neurodiversity/ Criminal Justice System (as examples) in addition to basic supervisory or line management experience, wanting to take the next step in their career.

The Senior Community Engagement Worker will manage their own caseload, supporting individuals who may benefit from community support into access of such, in addition to other treatment and interventions. Advocacy, goal-setting, collaboration with the individual to support into relevant services are part of daily practice.

Through using wisdom from your own experiences, you will inspire hope and belief that living well is possible in others and will use your skills and strengths to support access to services to do this.

The post-holder will also line manage a team of five Engagement Workers, providing support, supervision and motivation. You will join a dynamic team of two Senior Community Engagement Workers, ten Engagement Workers, one Involvement Lead and the Team Manager.
