**ROLE OVERVIEW**
We arelooking to recruit a events coordinator to join our passionate and hard-workingmarketing, comms and events team.
Youll bepart of a dynamic and friendly team delivering the largest business-to-businessevents program in the region, who deliver more than 200 events each year,including some of the North Easts biggest business awards events. Youll beworking closely with colleagues across the business; within the marketing,comms, and events department; supporting the events and awards manager.

**What youll bedoing**
- To deliver large events, supporting in all areas of event and project management,
- To coordinate and deliver a segment of our overall programme allocated to you,
- Deliver exceptional engagement/customer service to members and prospective members,
- Ensure the Chamber maintains an excellent brand and reputation through its events
- A broad format of events across North East Mayoral Combined Authority (NEMCA) area,
- EXPOs and Chamber Showcases in the NEMCA area,
- Chamber Awards, Annual Dinner event and larger events across the region,
- Support the events and awards manager in continuous improvement of the programme,
- Work closely with the marketing team and PR & comms manager to ensure appropriate and timely event marketing, utilising any promotional opportunities at events, and contributing to the marketing and comms plan where necessary,
- Identify areas where the events programme can be used as a recruitment tool,
- Support the development of events marketing collateral.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent, including Math and English
- Events management or marketing qualification, or equivalent experience.
**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Demonstrate personal contribution to the behaviors of teamwork and collaboration (with internal and external colleagues, and members); delivering excellent customer service; and a proactive contribution to service improvement,
- Minimum 18-months event management experience.
- Customer orientated and focused.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritise workload, adhering to (sometimes dynamic) deadlines.
- Ability to collate and analyse data
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills
- Organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Accuracy and a strong attention to detail
- Well-developed social, interpersonal, communication and people management skills.
- Ability to create, maintain and promote good working relationships internally and externally
**OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
- Must live in the North East
- Must be able to work flexible hours, and locations across the region
- A sense of drive, enthusiasm, hard working and reliable
