**The role **
The role of **IT Project Coordinator** in our **Telecoms** department is important to us.
It involves providing vital assistance and guidance to our Telecoms IT teams in the delivery of key IT projects.
The role will report to our CIO for Group Telecoms and will be located at the group’s Head Office in **Crewe**, Cheshire, UK.
**What would your day to day look like?**
- Assisting the Telecoms IT teams in the delivery of projects to the wider division.
- Assisting the Telecoms IT teams with the management of the portfolio of IT projects and mandates, and input into strategic roadmap planning.
- Identifying and report on project progress using Microsoft Project where appropriate.
- Completing project status reports as required.
- Ensuring that project documents are complete, up to date and appropriately stored.
- Working with other members of the Telecoms IT teams to plan, prioritise and schedule tasks.
- Working with other members of the Telecoms IT teams to manage, assess and plan project change.
- Establishing standards, tools and procedures for use on projects, including issue, risk and change management.
- Contributing to the continuous development and improvement of our project management methodology and project management tools.
- Reviewing project activities for compliance with procedures and standards.
- Assisting with the creation and release of project related communications as appropriate.
- Helping to break down large problems into small deliverables, driving rapid solution delivery.
- Fully understanding the systems being worked on at functional and technical level to best respond to business queries.
**What do we expect of you?**
Qualifications and specialist training required:
- HND or Degree in an IT related discipline or equivalent experience
- Recognised Project Management certification such as PRINCE2 or APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ), or equivalent experience.
- Awareness of Databases using SQL.
- Familiarity with task management systems such as JIRA.
Skills and attributes required:
- Good organisational skills.
- Experience of working on medium to large size IT Telecoms projects, with a focus on development and data.
- Able to converse on a technical level with software developers.
- Ability to communicate to project stakeholders and senior management ensuring transparency and clear setting of expectations.
- Ability to manage interdependencies across a portfolio of projects involving both technology and business projects.
- Ability to build a strong rapport with members of the IT Team and the wider business.
- Technical aptitude and an ability to provide a communication “bridge” between the business and technologists.
- Strong interpersonal and team working skills with a proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Professional approach and an understanding of business ethics.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Positive, flexible attitude to work.
- Proactive personal and skills development.
