**Job description**
We currently have the exciting opportunity for a supply chain coordinator within the FMCG industry to join our brilliant clients team based in Crewe.
The role will see you working closely with vendors and suppliers, monitoring closely the efficiency and deliverance of materials for production, ensuring that product availability is met in a cost effective timely way that meets demand outputs.
**Overall Job Purpose**:
Ensure day to day management of the key suppliers, including regular review meetings
Schedule production to meet the needs of the Supply Plan and Customer orders, ensuring product availability is timely and cost effective, resulting in OTIF delivery of the order book.
As the Project and Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be responsible for creating, planning, coordinating, reporting, and delivering various changes within supply chain.
**Key Role Responsibilities**
- Lead supplier conference calls to ensure full visibility and adherence to the agreed production schedules to meet customer requirements.
- Arrange regular calls and site visits to feedback on performance and forecasts, while maintaining close relationships with key collaborators.
- Co-ordination of Supplier's delivery schedules.
- Agree and confirm delivery dates and communicate internally to enable accurate update of purchase orders and works orders.
- Monitor progress against the schedule through frequent contact with suppliers, adjusting as necessary, according to priorities and constraints.
- Maintain close contact with Customer Services and Planning advising them of the situation and amend schedule as priorities change.
- Ensure all documents, usage figures and certificates are issued and received as required to ensure compliance with BSI and SOPs.
- Co-ordination of change controls
- Plan and set out timelines and milestones for preparation for, and completion of Change controls that exist within the business.
- Maintaining and monitoring supply chain project plans, project schedules, availabilities, and expenditures.
- Organising, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to implement changes in accordance with the plan.
- Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
- Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.
Providing administrative support as needed.
Undertaking project tasks as required.
- Chairing and facilitating meetings where appropriate and distributing minutes to all project team members.
Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.
- Ensure teams and people across the business are clear on what they need to do, by when.
- Improvement & Simplification of processes
**Education/Qualifications/Experience**
- University education is preferred
- Experienced in managing projects: you may not be formally qualified as a project manager, but you will understand and have experience of delivering the basics, and want to develop your project management skills (which we will help you to do, through coaching,training and qualifications)
- Experience of a supply chain role
- Experience working in fast paced environment
- Experience with Sage
- Advanced MS Excel user
