Job description

To best contribute to Operation Smile UK’s 3-year goal of raising £12 million in FY25/26 we are expanding our Partnership and Programmes Team. The new team will be structured to better enable our high potential income streams and to expand OSUK’s involvement with programmatic activities globally.

Working as part of the Partnership and Programmes Team, the Partnerships and Philanthropy Officer will play a key role in securing critical income from global and national corporate partners and from our network of committed community fundraisers.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Corporate Partnerships (70% of workload)**
- Provide support to the Partnerships & Philanthropy Manager in developing a corporate fundraising strategy, business plans and budgets to achieve substantial income growth in FY 23/24 and for the next 3 years
- Whenever required, provide support on all activities relating to OSUK’s global corporate partners such as employee events, conferences, campaigns, travel and internal communication with global colleagues
- Take the lead on managing a portfolio of smaller corporate partners to achieve bold fundraising targets. Taking responsibility for all aspects of these partnerships including communication, staff activities, events, reporting, income collection and acknowledgements
- Build and maintain positive relationships with all partners by providing a bespoke tailored partnership experience
- Where possible support with new business, researching new corporate prospects and managing a pipeline of potential new partners. Play an active role with in-bound enquiries relating to corporate partnerships
- Support the Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager in preparing presentations and proposals for new partnerships
- Whenever required, participate in corporate partner conferences, events or presentations
- Lead on producing corporate related social media and communications content
- Maintain orderly upkeep of all relevant records and databases

**Community Fundraising (25% of workload)**
- Lead on managing OSUK’s challenge events such as the London Marathon, providing a positive experience for participants whilst ensuring fundraising targets are met
- Lead on the handling of all in-bound community fundraising correspondence including donations received, merchandise and speaking requests
- Develop a strong understanding of fundraising platforms such has Just Giving and Enthuse and maintain their upkeep

**Additional Responsibilities (5% of workload)**
- As much as possible expand understanding of Operation Smile’s programmatic work globally, of cleft lip and palate conditions, health system strengthening and the global surgery sector
