**Finance Manager**

Based in St Albans, Hertfordshire, MRK are pleased to be working with this e-commerce business who are looking for a qualified accountant to join their team on a permanent basis as Finance Manager. This will be a hybrid working role.

This job would suit an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant to be responsible for delivering all aspects of our accounting and financial reporting. The role will also be involved with forecasting as well as day-to-day finance operations working with team oftwo Management Accountants part qualified.

The company is a reputable, marketing business which sells across Europe. They are a passionate and exciting company to work for, with rapid expansion plans over the next few years and a new ERP implementation to take place in 2023.

The successful individual will have financial reporting and management accounting experience, with familiarity with all aspects of a typical month-end close and reporting process. They will have experience with building Excel models, for example for theforecasting of cash flow or overheads. This person will have the ability to communicate with and influence colleagues across the business, and to support non-finance people in controlling costs and adopting new processes. To be considered for this role, youwill be able to manage your time so that competing priorities are managed and progressed.

Job responsibilities:

- Prepare and interpret monthly management accounts, including liaison with overseas and UK managers to produce detailed overheads forecasts.
- Produce the year-end accounts to TB level, and liaise with auditors to produce the statutory accounts, ensuring FRS102 compliance.
- Business partnering with overseas destination managers. Analyse, control and challenge overhead costs, and train and support them in using the new system.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the UK accounting team and ensure that all processes are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Assist the implementation of the new ERP system in the UK and overseas.
- Work with the UK accounting team through this period of change, and develop and support them to manage the new systems and processes.
- Supervise the production of VAT returns.
- Produce routine reports to regulatory and trade bodies (CAA and ABTA).
- Produce other regular and ad hoc reports and analysis.
- Drive the continual improvement of processes, reports and internal control within the accounting team, with a focus on the forecasting and control of overhead costs in the overseas destinations.
