My Client who are one of Scotland’s largest independent solid board and carton manufacturers are looking for a **Production Press Assistant.**

They are based on the outskirts of Irvine, so having your own transport is required due to start and finish times.

Hours are as follows:
Week 1 and 2 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 6.00am to 6.00pm

Week 3 and 4 Thursday, Friday and Saturday 6.00am to 6.00pm

Week 5 and 6 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 6.00pm to 6.00am

**Key responsibilities**:
Ø Assisting with the setting and operation of the machine, loading and unloading of paper as required.

Ø Loading inks and materials.

Ø Cleaning and maintaining machinery and ensuring that working area is tidy and environmentally safe.

Ø Ensure correct waste disposal storage and safe storage of print chemicals.

Ø Ensuring materials handled are of good quality.

Ø Assisting with the creation of purchase orders for materials required.

Ø Carry out general maintenance and housekeeping.

Ø Assist in other areas where required.

**Qualifications, Experience, Skills, & Characteristics**:

- Previous experience of working within the printing industry is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Good communicator who is able to work as part of the team & support other teams/departments as required.
- Possess a reasonable standard of numeracy and literacy.
- Have a positive attitude to Health and Safety and Quality, ensuring compliance with company H&S Policy and Quality Management systems.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

**Salary**: From £10.42 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Irvine: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: One location
