The University of Warwick is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join the University’s Faculty of Arts Impact team to support and implement impact activities across the breadth of departments within the Faculty.

This role supports the development, implementation and facilitation of the Faculty's research impact and public engagement activities. Based in the Faculty of Arts Administrative Hub, you will play a key role in developing a robust and responsive impact support service, working on a broad portfolio of projects and activities to increase the range, reach, significance and visibility of impact and to increase the vitality and sustainability of the research culture and environment within the Faculty.

You will be educated to graduate level, ideally in an Arts or Humanities discipline, and will have experience of working in research impact, public engagement or communications, preferably in an educational or HE environment. You will need excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills and a strong track record of forming successful working relationships. You will be capable of working with people at all levels of seniority.

**JOB PURPOSE**

The Impact Support Officer will support academics and administrators in development and delivery of a wide range of research impact and engagement activities, focussing on managing a broad portfolio of activities and supporting staff to accomplish their research dissemination plans. The post holder will work closely with the Research Impact Manager (Arts) to support academic staff to maximise the benefits, visibility and impact of research, focussing on the co-ordination and delivery of a range of initiatives to support the Faculty in generating, capturing and demonstrating research impact.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

Support Faculty research active staff alongside the Research Impact Manager (Arts) in delivering a programme of activities and events to inspire audiences, stimulate debate, and engage the public with the wide variety of research carried out at the University.
To support and implement Faculty-wide processes and procedures for the development, dissemination, monitoring and capture of research impact (including organising events, producing materials for dissemination to external audiences, gathering evidence and testimonials and recording impact within the University’s internal impact-capture system).

Manage the communications channels that support the wider network of academics, researchers, staff and students that work in research impact activities. Including the Faculty of Arts Research Impact and Public Engagement webpages, and social media channels such as Twitter and LinkedIn.

Help manage the organisation of research impact activities run by the individuals in the Faculty, both internally and externally including networking, training, dinners, workshops, collating evaluation and data where relevant.

To work closely with colleagues in the University’s Marketing, Communications and Corporate Relations teams on developing strategies for maximising exposure for the Faculty’s research activities and for enhancing engagement with a range of external stakeholders and audiences, including non-HEI partners.

Support the Chair and Deputy Chair of Faculty, Research Strategy & Development Manager (Arts) and Research Impact Manager (Arts) to inform a wide range of senior people across the University community about research impact.

Liaise and work co-operatively to support the delivery of the University's strategy for research impact and public engagement with academic departments, administration, and equivalent post holders across the University.
