We’re looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Senior Finance Assistant to join our Glasgow office on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller. The Senior Finance Assistant will help support the day-to-day financial operations of the business.

We currently operate on a hybrid model, working from the office 2-3 days per week. Our Glasgow office is based in the Clockwise Tower on Renfrew Street.

Phlo is an online pharmacy aiming to empower patients by giving them full control of their healthcare. Using our app, patients can manage, order and track their prescriptions and benefit from same-day, real-time deliveries.

This role is suited to someone with an eye for detail and who enjoys multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

**The Job**

Key responsibilities include the following:

- Acting as the first point of contact for routine finance queries
- Monitoring and managing the accounting mailbox
- Reconciling the bank accounts on a daily basis
- Maintaining the purchase ledger - inputting invoices and expenses, ensuring necessary approvals are obtained, completing supplier statement reconciliations and generally liaising with our suppliers
- Preparing and prioritising the weekly payment runs
- Maintaining the sales ledger - raising invoices, processing credit notes and escalating any overdue balances
- Assisting with the preparation of the monthly management accounts and reporting
- Supporting the financial controller & wider finance team on projects
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Completing ad-hoc tasks as they arise

**Requirements**:
Ideally, we’re looking for someone with the following:

- AAT qualified (or equivalent), or qualified by experience
- Experience in a similar role in a growing organisation
- Exposure to accounting software, ideally Xero & Dext
- Excellent attention to detail and highly organised
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Self-motivated, energetic and passionate about what we do at Phlo
- The ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- An adaptable mind-set and can-do attitude to problem solving
