**Hours - **Full time, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

**Contract Type - **Permanent (6 months probationary period)

Blackhall & Powis Limited is a surveying practice with a head office in Glasgow and offices throughout the UK.

Due to the continued expansion of the business, we are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to support our teams whilst they work on a wide range of renewables and infrastructure projects.

The successful applicant will join a dynamic company that supports its employees and provides genuine opportunities to grow with our company.

**Main Responsibilities**

Day to day you will be working within the finance team to provide support to the Senior Finance Manager to ensure the smooth running of the Finance Department.

Key tasks in the role of Finance Assistant will include but are not limited to:

- Processing and issuing of monthly sales invoices.
- Processing staff expenses & supplier invoices, and recharging to projects where applicable.
- Processing of supplier payments.
- Processing credit card & prepaid debit card transactions and reconciling statements.
- Assisting with project set-up and maintenance on our accounting software.
- Assisting with new client set up and maintenance.

Full training will be offered therefore the role is ideal for a college leaver.

**Skills and Experience**

**The following are essential for the successful applicant**:

- Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures and financial controls.
- Time management and organisation skills, and exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task.
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of software.
- Ability to navigate new IT systems with ease.

**Other desirable skills and experience include**:

- A relevant qualification at HNC level or equivalent relevant experience in an accounts/finance assistant role.
