**What is the role?**

You will work with schools and families to identify barriers to learning and to recommend effective strategies and resources to help overcome those difficulties. You will carry out a range of standardised assessments as well as informal assessment activities to create detailed learning profiles and will provide comprehensive reports which fulfil the SEND Code of Practice ‘Assess, Plan, Do, Review

- Provide settings with agreed written reports electronically within 10 working days of completion of the work.
- Provide advice on creating SEND friendly learning environments.
- Attend termly and annual reviews as requested by the school. Attend meetings with schools and families to plan provision and where appropriate provide guidance around transition from primary school to secondary school.
- Provide training for teachers and teaching assistants around the delivery of specific interventions or to raise awareness and understanding of SEND and its impact on learning.
- Qualified teacher status - _this role is not suitable for early career teachers (ECT)._
- An additional postgraduate Level 7 qualification in psychometric testing.
- Clear commitment to the values of SEND Support_ed_, demonstrating through their practice a caring, passionate, inclusive, innovative and flexible ‘can do’ approach.
- Proven ability to work independently, within a team and with a range of colleagues across educational settings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
- An unwavering commitment to safeguarding and completion of a successful enhanced DBS check.
