Demand Planner

Edinburgh, United Kingdom Ooni Full time

**About the Role**

We are looking for someone that's fantastic at forecasting our sales demand requirements. You’ll be so good that people will think you have a crystal ball (which is totally optional).

Are you passionate about making sure that our ovens get to our customers on time every time? For this Demand Planner role, we’re looking for someone who will use business intelligence and forecast information gathered from across our team (or the previously mentioned crystal ball) to create and maintain our forecast models. You will ensure we are reactive with maintaining supply to maximise our sales opportunities. You will produce fabulous pieces of analysis with excellent accuracy and attention to detail, and you will have a thirst for digging into the data to understand the drivers of certain buying behaviours and what this might mean for future demand. You will also definitely eat pizza.

This is a hybrid role where you'll spend 2 days per week (usually Tuesday and Wednesday) working from our office at Edinburgh Park.

**A Little About Ooni**
There’s nothing quite like a great slice of pizza(Okay, maybe two slices, then.)

Way back in 2012, we created a brand new outdoor cooking category with our first portable wood-fired pizza oven. Now, the Ooni lineup includes gas and multi-fuel pizza ovens, all of which bake amazing Neapolitan pizza in just 60 seconds. Yum.

These days, we’re all about growth. We sell Ooni pizza ovens, accessories and groceries around the world and have an expanding (and totally awesome) global Ooni user community who love our products and use them to make epic pizza for friends and family. We’re at that perfect stage of growth, where we’re still small enough for you to make a major difference but big enough to have the resources to do amazing things.

**What you’ll do**:

- Build demand forecasts per SKU per sales channel, for multiple time periods, as part of a demand planning function, looking at the monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast requirements.
- Aim to ensure availability of all core SKUs across all major markets.
- Assist in reviewing historical sales trends, researching demand drivers, preparing forecast data, and evaluating forecast results vs actuals for accuracy.
- Measure & monitor demand forecasting KPIs and drive improvements in accuracy and working capital.
- Maximise efficient use of our ERP system
- Develop tools, systems & reports for improving demand planning and forecast accuracy.
- Work within the wider supply chain and production team to develop best practices and share knowledge.
- Build solid inter-departmental relationships to promote the sharing of knowledge and ideas
- Be commercially and financially aware and understand the budget and the overall strategy.

**What you’ll need**:

- Experience in supply chain, forecasting and demand planning.
- Experience in using demand planning systems and other ERP systems.
- Be a team player but thrive just as brilliantly independently - you must be a self-starter, proactive, and ready to completely own this crucial function for a fast-growth business.
- Being highly organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment is crucial in this role, and being resilient and calm in the face of changing circumstances.
- Have strong analytical skills, be able to spot and predict trends and be proactive.
- Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.

**Why Ooni**:

- Go to YouTube and search “We are Ooni”. We’re super proud of our culture and think you’ll love it here too. Here are some other reasons:

- Work for an employer that cares about your wellbeing We’ve got an employee assistance programme which includes on demand coaching and therapy sessions, plus a weekly yoga class
- 35 days of paid time off per year, plus an additional 5 week sabbatical when you’ve been here for 5 years
- £500 every year to spend on your passion - whatever that may be
- £1000 to spend on Ooni products each year, plus 50% discount on any other Ooni stuff
- We’re all about giving back. That’s why we offer 5 paid days to volunteer each year
- Continuing Education - we encourage our employees to use our learning platform to grow here at Ooni
- Oh and great pizza every single day if you want it. Yep. Every single day. And we’ll teach you to become a pizza pro

Take a look at our website to learn more about our products, culture and values. If you like what you see, send in your CV with a cover letter to tell us why you want to come on board. We really like nice letters - especially ones that are personalised just for us

**Closing Date: Friday 4th August
